My name is Myriam Vulliet and my project of CRUISING VILLAGE has been selected as a finalist of the “Young Champions of the Earth 2017”.
This Prize delivered by the United Nations is designed to encourage young and visionary environmentalists.
Why I would like to become one of the “Young Champions of the Earth“ winners
I wanted to find an optimal solution that combines:
A more responsible form of tourism
Local communities empowerment
How I will use the PRIZE
6 Champions, one from each global region, will receive :
“US$15,000 in seed funding” :I plan to go to Indonesia and launch a cooperative with enthusiastic inhabitants of Karimunjawa Islands and beyond. We will choose the most suitable location for the village. I will also launch my communication campaign, in order to attract investors.
“Attendance at the United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi, December 2017, and the United Nations General Assembly in New York, September 2018” : I will present my project to get more support from motivated investors and generous donators.
“An introduction to over 100 environment ministers at the Champions of the Earth Gala Dinner” : This would be the perfect opportunity to meet and discuss with the Ministers of the Environment of Indonesia, Malaysia.
“Publicity and recognition through online and global media” : Communication is vital to help bringing the Cruising village project to life.
“Access to high-profile mentors and customized training in communications, project planning, financial management” : Because United Nations experts have a great experience, they can give me the key to succeed in setting up an efficient business plan. They would be like an accelerator of initiatives.
“Participation in an intensive, one-week entrepreneurship course in Europe in the first quarter of 2018″ This week would prove essential while making new friends, networking and HAVING FUN at the same time !
Of course, I will share with you each and every step of the process around the Cruising-Village project. I will give you an insight of how my thinking changes and evolves. I will keep you posted on Youtube and Twitter. So do not hesitate to follow me and add some thumbs up!
I believe we have to BE-DO THE CHANGE. To own the future we have to believe we can make the difference.
